MA Supplier Diversity Regional Series – Wednesday, November 2
The Operational Services Division (OSD) is holding a speed networking event to connect small and/or diverse businesses with OSD Statewide Contractors to facilitate opportunities for meaningful business partnerships. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to network with a variety of business resource organizations, and learn how to become certified by OSD’s Supplier Diversity Office. During the Speed Networking, Statewide Contractors will sit at assigned tables. Diverse businesses will then circulate every three minutes from table to table, guaranteeing that each business meets every Statewide Contractor in attendance. Open Networking after the Speed Networking segment will allow you to further converse with the Statewide Contractors, Resource Partners, and OSD Staff. There is no fee to attend. Starting or Growing a Veteran-Owned Business – Thursday, November 3
Boots to Business Reboot is a two-step training program that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources. Step one is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course eligible to all veterans, servicemembers, and spouses. Step two is an eight-week online Foundations of Entrepreneurship course.
