Chamber Recognized for Role in Recruitment

Governor Deval Patrick recently made a visit to Cheer Pack North America in West Bridgewater to tour the company
that is making its mark on the state’s manufacturing industry.

Last year, Cheer Pack, a company that develops and produces a line of innovative food and drink pouches, moved from Plymouth to One United Way in West Bridgewater, creating 182 jobs, far exceeding the 74 jobs they expected. Cheer Pack was assisted by the Metro South Regional Economic Development Organization (administered by the Metro South Chamber) in receiving $1.4 million in Economic Development Incentive Funds, along with a 10% abandoned-building
tax deduction and 15-year tax-incremental financing worth $4.9 million.

“I am excited about this company because this is advanced manufacturing growing right here in Massachusetts, and we’re glad to have been a part of it,” said Governor Patrick.
