Rockland SealIncorporated in 1874, the town of Rockland is situated on 10.10 square miles only 30 minutes from Boston. Founded as an adricultural community, the town later flourished as a major shoe manufacturer.

Since the 19th century, the town has been an industrial community. However areas of the town remain wooded to give residents a rural feeling.
