The Irish Festival showcases local, national, and international singers, musicians, dancers, artists, Irish language speakers and storytellers performing on stages and under numerous tents. Also includes more than vendors offering Irish goods and services, an Irish food court and a children's play area with face painting, arts and crafts, a petting zoo with sheep and goats, games, amusement rides, a K-9 police unit and fingerprinting by area officers. Admission for adults is $12 per day; a weekend pass costs $30; and children under age 12 are free.

The Brockton Fair offers horse racing, demolition derby, amateur boxing, figure 8 racing, stock car football, fireworks, big bear show, magician, petting zoo, puppet shows and livestock shows. Parking is $10 per car during the week and $15 per car during the weekends. The parking fee includes admission for all in the vehicle. Regular admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children 12 & under.

The Metro South Music Festival is an annual event which showcases and promotes music in the Metro South. The B-52s are the featured performers at the festival on Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $25-$100. Call Ticketmaster at (617) 931-2000 to purchase tickets.

The Brockton Christmas Parade is an annual tradition sponsored by the Downtown Brockton Association. Nearly 25,000 people attend the parade to view Santa Claus and the marching bands and many floats sponsored by local community groups.

The annual A Taste of Metro South is a celebration of living and working in the Metro South region. It is a great opportunity to sample tastes from area restaurants, discover cultural and community service organizations, and enjoy live entertainment from local performers. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
